A Change in the Weather

Hello Lovelies,
While the weather is still mild I'm enjoying getting out as a family at the weekend.
Yesterday we went to a different local country park, one we haven't visited for a number of years.

As we left the car park I turned round and was wowed by the dramatic sky.......

Maybe raincoats would have been a good idea. The sun was shining but a gusty wind turned the leaves and sent other soaring upwards..........

In the opposite direction the sky was blue with innocent white fluffy clouds and the friendly  ducks came to see us.....

Hello Mr and Mrs Mallard..........

But you couldn't help noticing the steel grey,  rain laden clouds.........

I love looking at the clouds and these were pretty impressive but I did wonder what the approaching storm would be like for our beautiful wildlife..........

Thankfully it didn't rain and we enjoyed the fresh air and change of scenery. I love to find traffic free places for my boys to cycle..........

Mr BM and I were happy walking

Today it's sunny but the wind is really blowing. My washing is dancing on the line with lots of extra pegs to preventing it flying away. Lets hope the storm is not a severe as the met office is predicting.
Stay safe lovelies.
Jacquie x

  3. Wow. Fantastic clouds. When it looks like that here, we're in for a good thunder/electric storm.

  5. Do stay safe especially if the weather does turn as nastily as predicted. We've had some pretty wet weather in Scotland today too and were not even predicted to be getting the storm. Fingers crossed you and all in the south are safe.

  6. A sky like, artistically speaking has its own charm then with those bushes of that particular green, the air stops ... it is a good subject for a painting o)

  10. The skies are certainly giving us a dramatic show. Now that it is dark and the sound of the wind howling we are all a bit anxious and hoping the storm will pass us by. Keep safe Jacqui xx

  12. I hope that the storm is not as bad as predicted, we have already had a fence panel break loose and some felt has torn off the shed roof, both just this afternoon. Fingers crossed all will be safe and well tomorrow morning! Great pictures of the sky. xx

  13. What fantastic photos. I saw a beautiful stormy sky on Friday, with the sun on the church, glinting on the gold of the flags at the top, and shining on a stunning autumn tree. My camera was sat at home. Sigh. I must remember to take it everywhere with me. Great picture of the boys and their bikes. It's so good to take boys out for fresh air and exercise I think.

  17. If I look out of my kitchen, it is very grey, whilst looking out the lounge window, the sky is blue. Hopefully the high winds and rain are moving away from us here in Cornwall. Stay safe. X

  18. I heard on our Aussie news today about the bad weather expected in southern England and Wales. I hope it isn't as bad as predicted. Those winds must be so strong. Stay safe everyone.

  21. Wow Jacquie those skies are truly dramatic. I love it when everything is illuminated like that - there's something so special about the October light. Hope the storm wasn't too bad where you are - it seemed to pass us by with not much more than a shower! Have a good week x Jane
