Hello lovelies,
Just popping in after a long day at work to share some promised progress shots. My blooming flower cushion grew a lot on Tuesday.
By lunch time it looked like this.........
And by late afternoon I had added more rows ...........
As you can see I'm going for more subdued colours than my latest makes , using colours similar to those I chose for my much loved square throw.
I've also started another Giant granny using the same colours......
I know I have my Kaleidoscope blanket in progress but I was seduced by the pleasure I got from making this giant granny that I gave to my Mum . So quick and easy to do when you are too tired to count stitches or follow a pattern.
I'm hoping these projects have a vintage feel and that they will add a cozy touch to my lounge this Autumn. I love to snuggle under a crochet blanket when the weather turns chilly :0)
Hope you are managing to squeeze some craft into your week.

Wow!!!! That is so beautiful !!!' I can't wait to finish my current projects to start my own version of the "Blooming Cushion".
ReplyDeleteI made up some blooming potholders with the same vintage pattern. You should check them out when you get a chance. I blog at mimiloves5.blogspot.com
Have a great rest of your day!!!!

Delicious! I am so ready to start something new but my blanket just keeps growing and growing and not finishing!!
ReplyDeleteSo I am satisfying my need by drooling over your gorgeous flower cushion x
That's lovely, it's coming on a treat!
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks so beautiful! Keep it going, keep it going.. how big are you going to make this?
ReplyDeleteReally like the new colours you'r using. The Giant Granny is a nice projeck, just finished mine and I would do it again. But first, a Ripple!
ReplyDeleteLovely, gorgeous cushion, just finished a blankie so might try one now :)

I'm loving the colours you have chosen for both projects... I always like to have a simple project on the go; even if you are tired it is easy to do a bit and before you know it you have a new blanket or cushion!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful crochet and lovely colours, I wonder if you could list the colours you're using they go so well together.
ReplyDeleteJust stunning, I love the colours you have used!

WOw! Amazing work and Colourful!! :)
ReplyDeleteHello. I love this cushion and am dying to try and make it but at the moment have about four blankets on the go in various stages and the crochet guilt bunny will tell me off if I start something else!
ReplyDeleteoooh, cushion looking lovely! I can't believe you're on your second giant granny! You're putting me to shame!
ReplyDeletewow love them ;0) great choice of colours ;0)x
ReplyDeleteyour images always fill me with warmth and look so cozy x
great progress shots and i love the colours what yarn did you use? as i can see the giant granny blanket and the blooming flower cushion being my 3rd and 4th project (already in the middle of a neat ripple blanket and need to make another blanket first - trying to be really good and not starting one before I have finished the other which will be a first for me!!!)
ReplyDeleteWow everything just looks amazing! I adore your flowery cushion - I might have to have a go at making one too. Fabulously inspiring - thank you! Have a fab weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour cushion is coming on well, I really like the colours you're choosing.
ReplyDeleteWow. you've been busy. Very jealous.
ReplyDeleteThe flower cushion is looking fab. I've been thinking about doing that one too - its on my long list of things to get round to making!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having a project you can work on without thinking too much - I always try to have one of them on the go. Excellent for when you are tired or watching something on TV that needs a bit of concentration (because obviously you couldn't do nothing whilst watching tv - oh no - that would be wasting valuble crafting time!)
The pillow is coming along great, though it seems very tricky indeed!
ReplyDeleteDo you mind me asking where the beach was in Cornwall, it reminds me of one we used to go to near Padstow when the children were small but I can't remember the name of it and I would love to go to that one. I love the cushion, would love to make one but have too much on the go at the moment and im not so quick as you, in fact im decidedly slow!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh the cushion & the blanket both look amazing!! I love the colours, can I also ask for a list of the wool you are using please? xx
ReplyDeleteparece el arco iris en flor
ReplyDeleteLove your blooming flower! I understand the granny square completely. I started one the other day as a simple quick project. I love how it is coming together so quickly too.
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend.

I am a bit embarrassed as I have found my "The seeds have arrived thank you so much" email in my drafts. So I'm popping a message here as then I can see that it has got to where it needs to go.
ReplyDeleteThank you hugely! I so hope I have a little piece of Bunny Mummy World in my garden next year. It'll be really exciting to see what springs up.
Thank you again, by the way, loved the little packets they came in.
