Raindrops on Tulips

Hello Lovelies,

As I walked out of my front door yesterday morning I was struck by the vibrant colours of the Tulips in my front garden............

How I love this bright pink colour.

I walked through the drizzly rain taking the time to notice all the different types that I passed.......

They all looked wonderful with the addition of glistening raindrops.......

And I was humming again.............

THIS tune. My Raindrops on Tulips may not have quiet fitted in with the lyrics, but it made me smile.

At the shops I made a small purchase and popped it in my home made shopping bag ...remember those?

This is what I bought........

Raindrops on Tulips and bright shiny lemons.........

Sunday morning baking ............

and a yummy cake for the family to enjoy.........

Recipe HERE

These are a few of my favourite things :0)

  1. Your tulips are looking lovely - mine really haven't done so well this year. I shall be humming that tune all day now! Enjoy your bank holiday. I bet there won't be any cake left by the end of today! x

  2. Lovely raindrop covered tulips, Jacquie. Your have a wonderful range of colours to enjoy. I think many of us are making our own 'carrier bags' now since the introduction of the bag charge ... no bad thing if it helps save the environment! The lemon cake looks scrumptious :) Elizabeth xx
