Daily December :: the 2nd

Hello Lovelies,
Today we woke to sunshine and I grabbed the opportunity for a little walk. As I passed the willow tree by the stream I noticed it had hardly any leaves left..........

Along the footpaths the clay soil was sticky underfoot..........

and the breeze made me glad I had remembered my hat.........

A few parched Oak leaves were clinging to the branches here.......

Elsewhere the trees and hedgerows were all bare ............

Here there was no need to climb the stile, just walk through the open gate and towards the tunnel...

On the other side I crossed more fields and climbed the hill, stopping to look back at the distant view..........

At this time of year, when the sun is so low in the sky, the tree shadows are amazingly long. Here they were stretching almost all the way across the field and accentuating the contours of the land..........

Back near home I smiled at the sunny, daylight view of the church.........

It was so good to get out and stretch my legs...as it always is on a sunny day.
December has started off mild and bright but who knows how long that will last. I felt lucky to get the opportunity to enjoy it.
