My Weekend

Hello Lovelies,
Well I seem to have taken loads of pictures this weekend and can think of so much I could blog about . Do you get this ......sometimes there is so little you can think of to say and other times there just seems so much !

I must admit to feeling a little pressured for time these days, adding another work day to my week is still taking a bit of adjusting to but I love my blogging so I don't want cut down too much.

Anyway , lets not think about work, but concentrate on pictures taken this weekend. Saturday morning was bright and sunny and we went for a walk into the centre of our village. I do love living here, there are plenty of amenities within walking distance, but it is surrounded by beautiful countryside. ....

The boys found lots of these ....

While I wandered along snapping Autumnal things.....

I find blogging makes me appreciate my surroundings even more than I did before . I'm always looking for pretty thing to share with you lovely lot, things I may have taken for granted otherwise.
Once we reached the shops we did some minimal ,fun shopping...

A lemon for baking, a ball of turquoise bonus ...love this colour. And a small paper bag of .........

Shiny red buttons for the cushion I'm making for Emma's charity craft stall, aren't they lovely....better than sweets to me !

Sunday , the weather was not so kind . Never mind ,after spending a couple of hours standing watching the boys rugby training in a chilly field , it was super nice to spend some time in a warm kitchen baking in the afternoon. We made fairy cakes and these.....

Ummmmm, gingerbread men, must share this recipe with you sometime. I love ginger , especially on a cold day. These wonky guys really did seem to have personality !

The rest of the afternoon was spent listening to the boys read, finishing the back of Emma's cushion and enjoying and tasty snack...

Must get on with my long list of jobs now :0(

Bye till next time......

  5. Hahaha, love the final gingie, there. I'm with you, blogging makes me stop and notice things more often, too, in the hopes of being able to share something lovely (but ordinary to me) with people on the other side of the world. Thanks for sharing! And I love those buttons - love your primary-colors shopping trip! :-)

  6. I like it when people share their surroundings. It has encouraged me to do the same. Mmmm i can almost smell that gingerbread. I have been thinking of butterfly cakes for days now but I'm not allowed to make them. I go to bed thinking of them. I really aught to make them and get them out of my system. Maybe not.. x

  7. Hello!

Your lovely post just sings Autumn to me, in all the nicest possible ways too! I enjoyed all your pictures, the shiny conkers, the gingerbread men and your pretty countryside too.
I know what you mean though about sometimes being overwhelmed with ideas of what to write about, and then others just drying up with nothing much to say! I sometimes write ideas down when Ive too many at once, and dip into them for future posts when I haven't got a clue what to write about!

    Sending love
