Hello Lovelies,
gosh I've been sooooo tempted to spend hours recording every detail of this family outing.
But I'm just going to let the photos do the talking.
Why not click on the first and view them in the lightbox....you wont miss any words till the end :0)
Dovedale on a hot summers morning was magical. The cool shade under the trees, the sounds of the sparkling river Dove. The fresh greens everywhere, the wild flowers, the places for boys to play.
The photo's don't do it justice. If you get the opportunity just go. But go early.....it's a deservedly popular spot.

Magnificent area and pics Jacquie - who wouldn't be mesmerised by these! Thank you! xoJoy
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely place when it's quiet! We try to go when the weather is not so good or late on summer evening! We drove through a couple of Dovedale's surrounding village at the weekend and commented about how busy it must be with the weather we've had, imagining just how heaving it must have been - it looks like you managed to be there during a less busy period!
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat this country for its natural beauty. We have just spent a few days near Sheringham in Norfolk, that's another beautiful place to visit.......xx
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful spot. It looks like you had the most wonderful time. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteDelightful a real natural beauty.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I just drove to a park similar to yours, although I live near Portland, Oregon :) Thanks for posting, Jacquie. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! xx
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! thanks for the stunning photos!
ReplyDeleteOh! How I love the rocks! I'm thinking... limestone? in Derbyshire, yes? Here in Merseyside we get red sandstone which is beautiful, but I love how the colours of a county are summed up by the rocks. Wait... I should do my own blog post on that. Back later.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. The water was so cool, and I could feel how the rocks felt beneath my little tootsies.
OH so green and so lush nature ! It seems to be so quiet and peaceful ! Nice place and happy moments certainly ! Thanks for sharing !
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, have been there in the winter when it was different, but equally beautiful - far less people though! Love that little blue flower picture - campanula?? x
ReplyDeleteReally looks like an enchanted wood... I particularly like the mossy branches... : )
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful spot. And a great day out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place,,, and the water looks so cooling!
ReplyDeleteFab photos. I'd forgotten we'd been there until I spotted the stepping stones over the river, x
ReplyDeleteI have never been......it is on my list now, fab photos of a lovely day out. x
ReplyDeleteOh you've got me excited now! i'm going to Dovedale camping right near the stepping stones on the 15th August, its a pagan weekend camp and my best friend and his fiancee are getting married in a handfasting ceremony there. I haven't been for about 15 years, your photos reminded me how stunning it is and got me all excited again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place, great photo's that water looks so refreshing on a summers day
