Daily December :: the 7th

Hello Lovelies,
the boys did a good job of decorating the tree yesterday, but they forgot my special tins.....

They contain a lot of our handmade ornaments collected over the years. Stuff made by me......

Gifts from kind  bloggers........

More stuff made by me....still love the simple red and white theme of these.......

Hand knitted cuties collected from a local Christmas fair over the years........

And most precious of all....things made by the boys when they were little..........

I love handmade ornaments and to rediscover these each Christmas is a joy. Our tree wouldn't be the same without them.

  3. All of my children are in their 30's and I still have some of the ornaments they made. They are pretty fragile and stay in the box,and they are definitely the most precious ornaments I have.

  4. Christmas wouldn't be the same without the wonderful memories of Christmas's past evoked by ornaments made/bought in previous years. I still have treasures that my daughters made and they all have families of their own now.

  5. I love all of your ornaments. My children each received a box with of their ornaments for their trees when they moved out of the house. It left our tree very bare!! I've been busy making and finding new ones to replace theirs. Yours are beautiful and I believe handmade is the best.
    Blessings,

  6. I think a tree isn't cozy and wonderful if it doesn't have a fun eclectic collection of ornaments especially the ones made by yourself, friends and kids. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  11. They're lovely Jacquie. I always like to go through the Christmas decorations every year and remember when we made things together, and remember friends who have given me things. A happy tradition. CJ xx
