After The rain

Hello Lovelies,
yesterday morning was rainy and cold. I was happy to get on with writing up my Mandala tutorial for you.
By  mid afternoon the rain had stopped and I enjoyed a wander around our drippy wet garden.
My Roses are flowering and they looked so beautiful with the addition of rain drops...........

I decided to go for a short walk and wandered along those oh so familiar paths with my usual companion. The field that inspired THIS drawing last year is looking gorgeous............

We played the "Tree in Summer" game with the long grass.........

It's explained well HERE along with some other simple nature games.

Peeped at the view from between Oak leaves..........

Admired  new haircuts.........

Splashed in puddles........

Wondered if it would rain again before we got home............

Found a new footpath past lots of wild garlic ( now over but noted for next year)...........

Spotted Flopsy and Mopsy ready to run for cover............

and Squirrel Nutkin dashing up a tree...........

I loved this bright pink tree blossom............

And we got home just in time to pick a few roses to enjoy indoors during the next downpour.......

Today has been much brighter and we have enjoyed a little family outing to make the most of it.....more on that soon :0)

Tomorrow I'm planning to finish that tutorial writing.....thank you for your enthusiasm and kind comments on the inspiration behind this project........I can't wait to share it with you lovelies.

  1. That sky looks like it's a CGI movie! Incredible! And how lovely to be able to ramble about a bit between storms, the world has such a rich colour after the rain...looking forward to the tutorial! Chrissie x

  12. What a lovely walk and gorgeous views. I hadn't hear of that game but may have to try it-now all I need is a spare child to take the slight mad air off me as I try it!

I'm loving your photos. I've been trying to follow you and Gillian's advice with my new camera but when I snapped my peony it was no where near as clear as your shots of the roses. Back to the drawing board with me!
