Well, after wishing for spring, now that it's here the days and weeks are whizzing by far too quickly for my liking. I suppose I must feel like this every year but all the perfect weather we have enjoyed this year has made spring even more beautiful .
There are new flowers appearing in my garden every time I get a second to go out and enjoy it......
Alium
Foxglove
Oriental Poppy
It's been so dry a few spring showers ,to freshen things up, have been very welcome this week.....
Rose
I need to squeeze in more gardening time before the weeds start to take over, but I've had a rush crafty project to finish. I can't show you just yet as it's a birthday prezzie for my niece. But I've been on a mission to use only recycled fabric and stuff from my stash so I'll show you this.....
An old , stained jacket of the boys , doesn't look too inspiring does it . Here is a picture of the WIP....
I've actually completed this project today and on Monday I'll be able to show you the finished project :0)
It's really pretty ...honest !
Have a great weekend
Jacquie x
Can't wait to see what it is ...

Gorgeous flowers - our garden is crying out for a spring shower but we've really had very little.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you've made for your niece.
Just found your blog and I love it! Your garden pics are gorgeous! Have a lovely weekend x
ReplyDeleteLovely photos as usual! We've got lots of rain and BIG WINDS here, the trees are going mad outside. They always look so dramatic in the wind when they are covered in leaves, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued about your project ... :-)
What a tease! How cruel to make us wait until Monday.
ReplyDeleteLovely flower photos, your foxgloves are a lot earlier than mine. We've actually had some welcome rain too.
I can't believe I am saying this but I am desperate for a shower or two, we have some construction work going on next door and my garden and house for that matter is rather dusty to say the least. A shower would clean some of it away. Love your poppy and alliums one of my favourites. Look forward to seeing your recycled make I know it will be gorgeous and I am sure it will be well loved by your neice xox
ReplyDeletelovely flower photos! our poppies are coming but no blooms yet not even any buds so far.
ReplyDeleteOh and I made ten of your fleece cushion covers a few days ago thank you so much for that, that really saved me a lot of thinking.

Glad to hear you've had a little rain. It's been very chilly here and we have the heater cranked up, very toasty.
Enjoy your weekend, shall be back Monday for the 'big reveal'

Do tell...what is that wonderful purple explosion at the top? I've never seen that! I love the flower differentiations from region to region! And I, too, can't wait to see what you're doing with the repurposed material! x&o, Annette

Hi Jacquie,
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! Specially the foxgloves. Be sure I will be back here to see what you are creating to your niece.
Have a great Sunday.

Looking forward to it! Your flowers are very pretty. I can't get into the garden at the moment. We had such a beautiful Easter but the past week has been very wet here. Quite windy with lots of heavy showers between very short bursts of sunshine! looking forward to some calm warm dry weather! Cx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers - love that pincushion also. Did you crochet it??? It is so cute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you have made. I love your flower pics...so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have the same flowers as you in my garden but mine aren't out yet. What's going on? where are my poppies? My poppies are pink ones like peonies, gorgeous. When they are out I'll post about them. I've decided to harvest the seed heads and post them out to anyone who wants them in their garden next year.
ReplyDeleteI'm coveting your toadstool house, i'll have to pop that on the end of my WIP to do list.
