Hello Lovelies,
here are my happy things from the halfway point of 2013.
1. A beautiful sunset on Monday.........
see it's previous guises HERE and HERE
3. Middle son asking to bake one evening.....I had lemons so he tried THIS recipe.........
Gosh it was really delicious
Combining the rest of the lemons with sugar and Elderflowers...........
Aren't they pretty close up.
It's ready for straining now but I don't have a muslin....hope a thin tea towel will do :0)
4. Eating lettuce freshly picked from the vegetable patch........

Great news about your mum - such a relief for you all. I love making elderflower cordial but they are only just starting to open by us - elderflower fizz is a good one as well but make sure the bottle lids are screwed on tightly! You could try straining through some tights - not quite sure how you would configure them over a bucket but might be worth a try ... Love the third incarnation of your bag! Jane x
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea with the bag, I loved looking at the other links to the previous changes that you had made.
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks delish, glad your Mum is on the mend
ReplyDeleteHi Jacquie, I've nominated you and your blog for an award! http://carlymau.wordpress.com/2013/05/29/ive-been-nominated/ - thanks for posting! :) Carly
ReplyDeleteGreat looking stuff. I am dreaming up a denim jeans handbag in my head this week but yet to make it to my shoulder. Yours looks great - it's got loads of mileage now. Jo x

ReplyDeleteMy pet slugs have loved my lettuces, I've stared to call them pets as I'm feeding them daily! I love elderflower cordial :) x
ReplyDeleteTry a pair of tights if you don't have muslin. I found it worked fine!!

I always love a nice sunset. Seems to round the day off well. (Particularly if I can watch it outside with a glass of wine in my hand!) Hope you have a great weekend. x
