Happy Things

Hello Lovelies,
Just sharing a few things that have made me happy over the past few days. Firstly.........
Sunshine on my Kitchen windowsill and a gorgeous vivid pink Cyclamen...........

I love the pretty flowers and the way the buds look as they grow..........

just perfect

Secondly....Getting out  into the countryside while the trees still have some leaves. It's cold here now but we have been lucky with the sunshine too.......

Noticing some wonderfully green moss at my feet...........

And crunchy leaves underneath them..........

Walking with my eldest on Saturday , enjoying each others company and the bright bursts of colour still visible in our neighbourhood...........

There was not much sun yesterday but I still enjoyed I bit of gardening once I had talked myself into braving the cold. I've been doing a bit of  pruning  and  planting tulip bulbs , a gift from my Mum, for a burst of colour next spring ............

It makes me happy to get out in the fresh air when I can , then it's lovely to cozy up indoors with my crochet afterwards.

  1. Lovely seasonal photos. I notice your favourite tree on that country road. My favourite photo is of your kitchen window sill with the reflection!
    Have a great week.

  3. Your photos look lovely, with lots of lovely sunshine!! I always say in the spring when the garden is bare " I must plant bulbs for next year" maybe this year. According to gardeners world, it's not too late!! Sarah

  4. Looks like you had a great walk, it's nice to spend time with our children individually isn't it? My two girls love it when I get chance to spend time on my own with them! :)

  7. Beautiful pics Jacquie and I love the Cyclame bud.
It looks like a teeny, tiny umbrella before it's opened up to unfurl all it's beauty..
Nice to find splashes of colour in your days.....

  8. Hello from NYC, where we are now recovering day by day from last week's rather unpleasant visit from Hurricane Sandy.

I also love cyclamen and think their buds are a bit bird-like in profile. The leaves are also lovely.

    Best wishes!

  10. I noticed some really vivid green moss on my patio yesterday - I have mixed feelings about it as the colour was so wonderful but I don't really want moss covering all the bricks!

  11. I'm right with you on being outside, I need to get out everyday whatever the weather otherwise I get a bit crazy! This time of year is great as I don't feel guilty about snuggling on the sofa afterwards with my crochet!

  15. The Cyclamen bud looks like a swans neck and head. I have one also, a miniature one, darker pink than that. I love looking deep into flowers and appreciate how beautiful they are.

  17. Hi - I love the way cyclamen grow as well - the way they slowly uncurl and then open. It a lovely feeling to feel you have 'earned' indoor time by going out into the cold. I always find it hard to push myself out but so worth it when I do. xxx
