♥52 Weeks of Happy♥ 42/52

Hello Lovelies,
Ummmmmmmm, week 42 of this year already, I guess that means we are down to single figures of weeks remaining in 2013.

It's been so good to have this little blog to connect with all you kind people in what's been a stressful year at times.

All your wonderful comments on my Yarndale drawing were  a hugely positive thing in my week.
♥ Thank you ♥ Thank you ♥ Thank you

Here are four more happies......
1. A little Autumn arrangement on my Kitchen windowsill ..........

the last sunflowers, an interesting squash and woolly Fungi......lovely

2. A huge Dahlia in my front garden............

I'll certainly be growing some of these again next year...... this one is a bit paler than I had hoped....but it's still impressive and very welcome in October.

3. Sunshine. The days are getting shorter and cooler which makes the sight of blue sky even more welcome.......

I stopped on the way home from shopping to take these few pictures of the gorgeous weather we had on Thursday.

4. Little Hats. After reading Vanessa's post about crochet for a good cause I felt inspired to join in .

THIS pattern was super easy and great fun. At the end it just says "add a bobble"  I was a bit puzzled about how you could make such a tiny pom pom . Then I remembered Lucy's tiny balls (scroll down ) perfect.

They were very quick to make and innocent smoothies donate 25 pence to Age UK for every one you send in.
I even made some little owls, because I know how popular owls are.........

I'm  always surprised how popular my OWL PATTERN  is.  It's by far my most popular tutorial and currently still gets about 5000 page views a week ....pretty amazing .

Happy Weekend Lovelies.
Jacquie x

  7. I love your owl mini hats. I have been humming and hawing about whether to make these hats, but you have inspired me. There is a good tutorial for tiny pom poms on Mollie Makes (you use a fork). I tried it out today and it works!

  8. I love your huge Dahlia - do you know its name? I have grown Mero Star this year - which is similar but pink - and I shall definitely be growing that again.

  19. I have been doing Innocent smoothie hats too; they are so teenytiny and cute. There is a picture of my first on on my blog: http://sophiesewandsew.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/the-innocent-big-knit.html Mine was knitted but I think crochet, like yours, would have been a better idea. x

  23. PPS - my mum was also keen for us to meet. Yours is one of the only blogs that she reads (she's not on the computer that much) and she loves your photos. I had specific instructions to tell you at Yarndale, I think it's ok telling you here instead!
Been out of blogland for a bit, but looking forward to catching up on all your news and sharing some of my own soon.
